Day of Surgery

What you need to know for the Day of Surgery:

Check-in – When you arrive at our center we ask that you check-in at the registration desk to verify personal, escort and insurance information.

Following Admission – After checking in at our center, you will be brought to the Pre-operative area where the nurse will do a health interview and prepare you for surgery. Your family or escort should plan to remain in the lobby at this time until they are called to the recovery room after your surgery.  An anesthesiologist will discuss your anesthesia with you and answer any questions you may have. A nurse from the operating room will go over your health assessment once again to verify that all information is correct.  At the appropriate time you will be escorted to the operating room.  During surgery, your escort must stay in the waiting area and will be able to rejoin you in the recovery room as soon as the recovery room nurse calls for their presence.
